Construction & Services 

Introduction
With our complete team of enthusiastic and dedicated people we are able to realize all refractory installation works; small emergency repairs, planned shut downs or new construction projects, if needed on 24 hour basis.

The experiences and practical know-how of the Construction & Services department is shared within the entire GOUDA organization. In return the Construction & Services department has many advantages in relation to refractory installers who are not associated with a refractory manufacturer such as the support of the laboratory, engineering and design department and of course the availability of all refractory materials on stock of our own production plants.

Instructions and training
Developments in refractory installations are going very fast. Therefore the employees of the Construction & Services department are regularly instructed and trained in various skills of the latest refractory installation technologies and methods.
These trainings are not only done in our own facilities but we also engage specialists outside GOUDA for instructions and trainings.
Our employees trained in various bricklaying methods, gunning / shot crete methods and product knowledge but also in project management / administration and supervision. 
In this way we remain able to install our high-grade refractory materials in accordance with the latest developments of installation methods in order to ensure the best final results.
One of the latest new installation methods is: shotcrete.

Safety and environment
GOUDA upholds the highest standards in safety and environmental issues.
Therefore all installers of the Construction and Services department are required to have as a minimum the VVA1 safety certificate. In addition all staff personal also carries VVA2 safety certificates.
Obviously the Construction and Services department is in possession of the VCA** certificate.
It is our opinion having these certificates does not automatically assure the right approach of care for safety and environment.
For that we regularly organize extra trainings in safety and environmental issues besides the usual toolbox meetings, safety instructions in the field, safety and environment inspections, and project safety manuals.
All developments and practice on environmental issues are elaborately discussed as well in the field as in management meetings.
Caring about and improving on environment and safety is a natural issue and will always be the highest priority. Starting from drawing board until final installation.

Warehouse and workshop
A well organized installation group obviously needs a complete warehouse and a sufficient workshop always available for emergency cases.
The Construction and Services department is in possession of all necessary equipment such as gunning machines, paddle mixers, diamante sawing machines, shot crete gunning equipment, electric drills, Hobart mixers, and equipment for welding, demolishing, etc.
Also the small hand tools such as buckets, spades, trowels, etc, and all personal safety items are available to a large extent.
All equipment are daily kept and inspected on working and safety by skilled personal in our workshop. Approved equipment is labeled and provided with safety regulations.
Everything is kept up in an efficient registration system which shows wether necessary parts have to be replaced or new equipment has to be purchased.
Of course attentively is taken care of sending only clean, safe and well working equipment to several sites in order to prevent delays caused by breaking down of equipment.
GOUDA upholds high standards in equipment. Only installation by using efficient and well functioning equipment helps us to guarantee the best installation possible for our high grade refractory materials.

Besides equipment we also store the regular refractory materials in small amounts, such as dense refractory castables, refractory bricks, mortar, mouldables, Ceramic Fiber materials, and insulating boards.
Also a large assortment of anchor materials and other refractory related products are in stock.

If possible we prefabricate the necessary moulds in our workshop to minimize the activities on site and to accelerate the progress.

Our department Construction and Services install the refractory materials, therefore we have the certificate VCA ** 2000/03
